Terms
Last updated: 3 October 2026. These terms are between you and Thomas Andersson, Sweden (“we”), who makes Jamsday. By signing in you agree to them. Questions: [email protected]; a postal address is given on request by email.
1. The app
You can play in Jamsday without an account. Passing and answering jams needs one (Sign in with Apple). You must be at least 13. Keep it yours: one person per account.
2. What you share is yours
You keep the rights to the audio and words you share; the players keep the rights to what they record. Jamsday never owns what you share — by passing a jam, sending an answer, or writing a comment, you give us and the people who can see it a worldwide, free, non-exclusive licence to store, stream, play, show and share it in Jamsday and on its links, for as long as it is in the service.
Anyone may listen to, share and download a finished Jamsday song for personal listening. Nobody — including other players in the same jam — may sell it, release it as their own, or use the music in other works without the players' permission.
3. Layers become part of a song
Pass the jam is about making songs together. When the bandleader picks your answer and bakes it in, your layer becomes part of their song, and you give the bandleader and everyone who played on the song a lasting licence to keep, play and share that song with your layer in it, also after you delete your account. Your name is removed from it then. A bandleader picks; they cannot change your take.
4. Only share what you may
You are responsible for what you upload, and by uploading it you confirm that you own it or have the rights to share it. If something you upload leads to a claim against Jamsday, you cover Jamsday's costs for it.
- Share only audio you played yourself, or have the right to share. No recordings of other people's records.
- Nothing illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, or that shares somebody's private information.
- No spam, no pretending to be somebody else, no trying to break or overload the service.
5. Reports, blocks and removal
Jamsday hosts what its users share and does not check it in advance. Tell us about content that breaks these terms or the law at [email protected] or with Report in the app, and we remove it promptly. You can also block anyone. We may remove content, and suspend or close an account, that breaks these terms. A suspended account can listen but not pass, answer or comment.
6. Sounds from others
Amp captures come from TONE3000's community, downloaded with your own TONE3000 account under TONE3000's terms and their creators' licences. Do not take captures out of the app to share them. Drum samples are credited on the drum samples page. Song names describe the sound a card is matched to; Jamsday is not connected with the artists or the makers of the gear.
7. No guarantees
We work to keep Jamsday running and your jams safe, but the app and the service are provided "as is", without warranties. We may change or stop features. As far as the law allows, Jamsday's liability is limited to what you have paid for the service, and we are not liable for lost content or indirect losses. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer.
8. Ending
You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app. We may close accounts that break these terms.
9. Changes and law
If these terms change, we post the new ones here and tell you in the app before they apply. Swedish law applies, and disputes go to the courts of Sweden, without taking away the protection of the law where you live.
